Tourism & Development Advisory Committee

Overview

The Tourism & Development Advisory Committee serves as an advisory group to the Board of Aldermen for the recommendation of projects to expend funds received from the proceeds of the hotel/motel tax.

Established by Municipal Code Title I, Chapter 140

Meetings

Meetings of the Tourism & Development Advisory Committee are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

Members

The Tourism & Development Advisory Committee is comprised of seven members appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Board of Aldermen. There shall be five (5) voting members and two (2) advisory members. The committee shall consist of:

1. The Mayor

2. Business Representative

3. Business Representative

4. "At Large" Representative

5. "At Large" Representative

6. A Treasurer (advisory only)

7. The City Administrator (advisory only)

Members shall serve one-year terms.
